Citadel's swords and knives are completely hand-made one off customs made entirely in their small shop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Crafted individually from start to finish, each one is of course a bit unique in it's own way. Limited to 100 swords, each is signed by the smith on the nakago with the sword number and comes with a matching certificate.
Our Wolf Katana and Wakizashi leap beyond the typical black katana format into wilder concept of style and grace. The black etched wolf tsuba showcases Citadel's handmade style and attention to detail. The fuchi and kashira are lightly textured and gentle to the touch. The forged 26 3/4" DNH7 blade feature bo hi to lighten the 5.5mm thick blade.
The 11" tsuka is wrapped in suede tsuka ito over white same (ray skin). The tsuka is carved to each individual sword ensuring a tight friction fit with a full same-gawa wrap. The menuki are a billowing cloud and moon motif with a crecent moon and full moon on the other. The dark brown saya with a gray mist is lacquered with buffalo horn kurikata and kojiri. Each saya is carved for the individual sword ensuring a proper snug fit.
