For the price, this thing is just absolutely amazing. The blade is real deal 1060 Carbon Steel, the tang is rock solid and while I wouldn't recommend it, you could probably slice through car hoods with it. The cane is incredibly solid and very thick aluminum and I'm sure just by itself would be a pretty effective self defense implement. It doesn't rattle around inside the cane like some of the lesser quality ones and it's sturdy enough to probably use as a pull-up bar. I'm very pleased, and extremely impressed with the quality. If you're considering purchasing one of these, this is absolutely the real deal. The seller was great, had some issues with shipping and I felt like this guy had my back absolutely. The only issue I have is the tip, for those of us who have to use a cane to walk, a softer rubber tip would have been icing on the cake but it's easily remedied. Thanks so much, and like I said, if you're considering getting one, this is absolutely the one to get!
